while looking for these pics i noticed that i forgot to mention that we had an award ceremony in may too - brayden was awarded a bag for his first place win at the long course age group sectionals last summer, some bags of candy etc. for some other milestones :)
the first week in june was also the ending of my first year back to teaching kindergarten. i truly had a fantastic class and a pretty good year. i am really looking forward to teaching again next year too. the end of the school year came so quickly - our last day was the 6th and we had a very cute graduation ceremony. this is both the am & pm class - i taught the pm :) aren't they cute!
everybody else got out of school on the 8th and we took off!!! we (the 6 of us) went to long beach, wa for almost a week. we had never been there before, didn't know much about it, made no plans for activities - just winged it and it was awesome! the week of our vaca we were checking the weather report and it was forecasting a miserable week but it was beautiful!! we only had rain 1 day! we played at the beach which was right out our back door, swam, played ping pong, bought & flew cool kites, rented a surry, tv bought a long board, rode go carts and got ice cream at our favorite ice cream place! we were supposed to stay thru friday but we had to be in spokane on friday for another swim meet so, we left the beach on wednesday - made a pit stop home before our next trip the next day. it was a good thing we went home - taylor's upstairs toilet leaked and we had to replace the toilet & rip out the flooring - ugh... here's some pics of our vaca:
