Way too busy... July (part 1)

july is jamaica month!! i am so excited that june is over and can now focus (almost) solely on the trip!  we had our last team meeting on july 1st - it was a family bbq potluck at the macduff's.  we did some supply packing, hung out (with no agenda) and had a great family prayer for our team.  we were missing a couple teammates :(  our team started with 22 people and whittled down to 14  - i am really looking forward to serving with these special people!

4th of july!! - hayleigh was supposed be in the "big" 4th of july parade in pasco with her gymnastics group but at the last minute they decided not to walk but to "provide sideline entertainment" not sure what that is/was... our neighborhood was also planning on doing a little parade so we talked the girls into doing that instead.  lance quickly plugged in the jeep and ran to walmart for decorations.  we had a great time!

all of the neighborhood kids enjoying popsicles at the end of the parade - didn't know that we had so many kids on our street! super fun!

the rest of our day we enjoyed some time at the river - we borrowed some kayaks from some friends (and have now purchased some b/c we had sooo much fun!), visited with family at columbia pt, enjoyed a boat ride and then finished the evening at some friends for the annual bbq & fire works...

next up on the calendar was the pendleton swim meet!  this was brayden's last meet of the season - he improved on just about all of his times.  it was a scorcher!!  luckily the meet is at the pool where the water slides are so we were able to entertain the girls at the slides during the meet!
