What happened to October???

Wow- that went super fast! It seems like it was just yesterday that the kids started school... Well, this past week was busy - what's new... i'd be shocked if it wasn't busy:) I think my last post was of our trip to the punkin patch - so, this is what we've been up to since then...

We carved our pumpkins in our usual location - the garage! The boys had a great time - Taylor totally did his on his own - it turned out super cool. Brayden did a great job too - although when it came to carving he accidentally cut out parts that shouldn't have been cut - oops... so, i had to get him another pumpkin to try it again - the final product was awesome! (i just remembered, i don't think i have a pic of his yet - i better do that before it gets tossed-yikes) Hayleigh did her best to clean out her punkin but had a hard time scraping the sides and getting her hands goopy so her dad helped her:) Maylynn was super content in just putting her spoon in and out of her pumpkin and kind of playing with the goop - mostly just doing something that looked like was something to be like the other kids:) I'm sure it was her first time...

Brayden had patrol duty last week - his first responsibility as a 5th grader. He looked so cute but would never look at me so i could take a picture - i kind of felt like a "stalker" taking a pic of my own child - i felt like i should have gotten out of the car and declared to everyone that he's my kid! ;)

Hayleigh went to preschool on Friday dressed as an Elephant and had intended on being that for Halloween. But, i surprised the girls & Brayden Sat. morning by taking them to Disney On Ice - it was SO cool! I loved it and I'm ?? old! It was the next best thing to the real Disney:) so, after that - Hayleigh changed her mind to be Tinkerbell. Luckily, she was that last year and tadaa! No problemo!! So, we had 2 fairy's and a Cad Ban (star wars bounty hunter) at our house! Our church had a harvest party - i just love those! Everyone is nice and warm, having fun playing games with friends etc... and there is always an entertaining skit by our youth leaders! Sat. night gpa B. took Brayden and Hayleigh down the street to knock on some doors - they had a great time. Unfortunately, Dad and Taylor were in Kent at hockey practice - we missed them...

ps. i hope to post all pics from the Halloween festivities on Shutterfly soon...
