It's all about me...
Yes - this post is all about me and my last week - i think that i deserve a little post:)
Anyway, last week i turned 29 (+9) :) and was blessed with an opportunity to go to our women's church retreat! This was a miracle! Usually this time of year it is next to impossible for me to attend -which is why this is my first time going to the retreat. I am usually swamped and stressed with work, birthday parties or hockey games and I was blessed that I didn't have any of that scheduled for that weekend! Amazing! The retreat was at Clearwater Lodge on Davis Lake which was north of Spokane. The Lodge was beautiful and the accommodations in the lodge very nice:) The Retreat was very nice and relaxing and it was a good time to be reminded of several things that i need to get better about doing - like having quiet time and reading my bible everyday. I really struggle with this and as soon as i start straying away from this routine - i quickly get out of the habit:( The retreat was centered around the book by Robert Munger "My Heart, Christ's Home" I loved how the retreat was planned and each talk focused on a different room - the skits were entertaining and the talks were interesting and great reminders. It was also a great time getting to know other women at church.
My birthday was like everyothers - a special day where i get to do what i want:) I treated myself to a pumpkin spice latte at Starbuck's, ran a few errands with the girls and met my longtime friend of approx. 30 yrs - Mara - for lunch at Chico's Tacos - YUM! The girls napped and then i went to my Group kick class at the TCCC and ended the day with watching The Biggest Loser with my sweetie pie - He took me to dinner the night before b/c he knew our Tues. nights are crazy with my exerise class and B's swimming - so we went to IHOP - their Pumkin Pancakes are DELICIOUS!!! Can you tell Pumpkin is my favorite right now?? :) The next day was Brayden's bday - and so the birthday celebrations continued...
We are now in Richmond, B.C. watching Taylor's hockey tournament - i will post some pictures of the retreat when we get home and update the blog about T's tourney...

and....Happy Belated Birthday! Glad you had some time to yourself. How are the girls, we are ready for a play date anytime. Jadyn had her 6 week post op check up and she is cleared to be 2 and have fun!
