Hayleigh's Gotcha Day

September 19th, 2005 was the day that Hayleigh came into our life and it was changed forever! We became her forever family. I will never forget that day and the few weeks afterwards - she was so behind developmentally - she looked and acted like a 6 month old but was supposedly 10 months. Her head was super flat and she enjoyed watching her fingers wave at her for entertainment. She became over stimulated quickly and many times would just fall asleep. Hayleigh is still as precious as she was the day we first saw her. Her beauty just amazes me. She is a very busy girl and many times wears us out but we couldn't even imagine our lives without her -she is such a blessing.

We usually acknowledge the day by going out for Chinese food and getting ice cream at Baskin Robbins - we had to do this a day early b/c the boys had plans to watch Taylor's first game in Seattle.
