Good Bye 2012...

Finally a weekend at home... time to catch up on EVERYTHING and i guess that includes the blog...

As you can see below December was filled with music, parties (bday & christmas) and family time...

Brayden's jazz band concert - they are awesome!

Hayleigh turns 8

Its crazy to think that this precious little girl is 8 yrs old!  She had so much fun at her party doing the rock climbing wall at TCCC.

HFTF Christmas Party

This was our first year that we attempted a Christmas party and it seems to have been a success!!  It's often hard to figure out a fun and economical way to entertain our HUGE families!  I think we had about 15 families come which equaled 50+ kids at All American Gymnastics.  Fun was had by ALL!!

Music Programs

At our school (Calvary Christian) where i teach, we have a Christmas program.  It was great!  All of the kids did a good job and it was entertaining as well!  Maylynn (my class) opened the program with a few cute songs - you can kinda see her in the 2nd row...

The following pics were from the Sunday School kids singing Happy Birthday to Jesus the Sunday before Christmas :)

Hayleigh is in this pic - gray dress
Here's Maylynn...

Christmas!

The first order of business - getting the kids together for a picture for our Christmas card - here's some of my fav pics of that little photo shoot - they could've been alot better but i haven't used my nice camera in a looonnngg time :(

i love this one bc you can see how windy it was by looking at HV's hair - lol

i love this one - it was at the end and you can see some of their personalities...

Taylor finally made it home for Christmas the night of Maylynn's Christmas program.  He was home for 9 days!  It was wonderful to have him home - words cannot express how happy we were:)  We  waited for him to get home to put up our tree - this was the latest we've ever gotten our tree up but i'm thinking that it's going to be the norm now...

i love mv's legs sticking out...

We made it to the Living Nativity this year - it was fabulous!!!

Ginger Bread house & cookie decorating...

it was a white Christmas!  we had a blast sledding!!

Christmas morning...

2 little early birds on Christmas morning

 Off to Vancouver...

so... Taylor was supposed to fly home to BC on the 26th but after spending 7 hrs at the pasco airport due to mechanical issues with his plane - that didn't happen.  Boy, was that a frustrating day - lots of false hope in his plane leaving in time to make his connections etc... but it did mean an extra day (or 2) with him.  I spent the day with him at the airport trying to help figure that out and then we decided to jsut drive him to BC.  We were planning on going to seattle on the 27th to see our friends and then up to BC on the 28th to watch him play but as it turned out - we just changed our plans to drive straight to BC on the 27th so he wouldn't miss another practice...  BV stayed home with friends and we took my parents & the girls with us.  We had a great time!  It ended up that there was a tournament at the rink next to our hotel - TV knew many of the kids playing (including his previous team from Spokane) and some other local friends from TC...  It was great to run into them at the Spaghetti Factory and our hotel!
We had planned on hopping on a downtown tour bus to learn more about BC (i love those!) but we got down there too late:(  Instead, we went to the top of this building that looks like the space needle (i have no idea what it was called! :( ) We went up to the restaurant to have an appetizer - which was just about as expensive as the bus tour but whatever - it was nice, somewhat relaxing with the girls, and wasted the time that we needed to before TV's game and it rotated around so we got to see the view of the city all around us!

I hope to have the start of 2013 up very soon...
