Whistler

Since our summer has turned out to be VERY busy this year, we are turning this "hockey tournament" trip into our summer vacation. I am posting while on vacation to practice for our trip to China:)

We got here yesterday (it was quite a drive just from Seattle!) I'm glad that we broke up the drive and took 2 days - it made it more enjoyable and not so much time in the car. My impression of Whistler is that it's like Leavenworth but much bigger and much more expensive! Yesterday we went to the base of Blackcomb mountain to play at the adventure zone. We had fun riding the luge slide (it was similar to the ride down the Great Wall in China but i actually felt safer and had more fun on the slide in China!), Brayden climbed in the "spiderweb", Hayleigh and Brayden bungy jumped on the trampoline, they also rode on little go carts, and bounced around.

Today, we had a busy day! We started out going "Peak to Peak" - we went to the top of Blackcomb Mtn. and took a new and fun gondola ride to Whistler Peak. It was beautiful, relaxing and some awesome views of a few black bears! After that, Taylor, Brayden and I did Ziptrek! Yes - we ziplined through out the valley - it was so much fun but unfortunately no pics:( On our way up the mountain we saw many sites of the 2010 olympics - very cool! While the adventurous ones were ziplining - Hayleigh went horseback riding with her dad:)
