Hayleigh's 3 Year Anniversary of her Gotcha Day!

I can't believe that it has already been 3 years since Hayleigh joined our family! I can remember vividly the moment that she walked through the door - i knew instantly she was ours. We were all so excited and practically jumping up and down on our tippy toes trying to get a glimpse of her while the nanny walked in with her and sat down. I remember holding her for the first time and kissing those precious cheeks (wondering if she had ever experienced that before - probably from the nannies but possibly not with the love that was felt behind it as i kissed her). She was just a tiny thing (still kind of is...) and not too crazy about nuzzling in and cuddling - she kind of would turn away and look out from the person holding her and not making too much eye contact. My, my how she has grown and changed - she loves being held and cuddled and i am so thankful to God that He chose our family to be her forever family to love her forever and ever! We are also so grateful that our family and friends have always been so accepting of her and love her just as much as we do.

We have talked to her about her Gotcha Day - i don't think that she's too sure of what that exactly means... she will understand soon - i'm sure. For now she just knows that we get to go out for Chinese food for her favorite noodles!
